Boeing India Supply Chain team is currently looking for a Project Management Specialist with prior experience in Supply Chain Management. The candidate need to be flexible to work in US timings (Central & Pacific).

Position Responsibilities:

Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry. Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case. Develops and establishes lead time requirements. Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies.

Advanced knowledge of supply chain strategies (e.g., inventory reduction, parts kitting, supplier consolidation, optimum flow, lead-time reduction).

  • Customer/Supplier Knowledge

Knowledge of customer's/supplier's organization, processes, policies and procedures, products, requirements, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, constraints, etc.
  • Maintenance and Retrofit

Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices (e.g., unplanned event system, technical orders, kitting, overhaul and depot support).
  • Prod Sup and Eng Relationships

Knowledge of the responsibilities and interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products, processes and services affect one another (e.g., engineering, quality, operations, logistics, business, etc.

Technical Competencies :
  • Boeing Knowledge

Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.
  • Integrated Master Planning Methods

Possess an understanding of program planning methodologies and proposal artifact development, including high level flow, integrated master plan, and deliverable and responsibility workbook. Possess a working knowledge of campaign proposal development, program architecture, and the ESGP. Able to apply methodologies and knowledge to develop, maintain, analyze, and provide visibility of executable program plans leading to an effective integrated master schedule development. Possess an understanding of the planning methodologies to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, program and production time fences. Possess a working knowledge of Production Rate Studies, Production Rate Readiness, and Capacity Planning.
  • Process Management Skills

Ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes.
  • Project Management Theory/Concept

Knowledge of Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle etc.) contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK[R] Guide).
  • Project Planning & Implementation

Knowledge of project planning principles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes on budget and on plan. Ability to define, design and plan projects, achieve project deliverables, and optimize the contributions of internal and external resources.
  • Project Schedule & Resource Management

Ability to create project schedules to identify overall timeframe for project activities to meet the defined project objectives (to include major milestones), identify resource requirements for projects, and manage those resources throughout the project life cycle.
  • Scheduling Tools, Process & Methods

Possess direct understanding of scheduling methodologies used in industry. Possess a working knowledge of scheduling process, data requirements and tools required to implement each methodology. Able to apply method, process and tool knowledge to develop, maintain, analyze and provide visibility of schedules.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Engineering Degree
  • Supply Chain Management and Procurement
  • Understanding of Aviation products and processes
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification /Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Excellent Communication


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position offers relocation within India.
