The Governmental Enrollments Project Manager will coordinate the governmental provider enrollments, managing the relationship with the respective payer and intermediary at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Will facilitate the enrollment application from new and existing providers through all stages to enroll or re-validate the facilities/providers with government payers. This will include a compilation of confidential data and communications. Will manage the external consultant ensuring accuracy and timeliness of assigned enrollments.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Governmental Enrollments Project Manager at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
  • Responsible for updating providers/facilities information in internal software and with external governmental payers, such as Provider, Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System (PECOS). Maintains the providers/facilities' online profiles, and conducts verification of all data, ensuring accuracy and timely entry of information.
  • Coordinates with various departments to gather necessary documentation and information for enrollment applications.
  • Has a solid command and knowledge of HMH organizational structures and related tax identification numbers (TINs).
  • Stay updated on changes in requirements and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Acts as the internal and external primary point of contact for the network.
  • Share essential updates with respective internal teams as necessary in monthly summary reports.
  • Build and maintain an enrollment tracking schedule of all entities and providers with key data elements such as NPIs; TINs; Legal Business Names; and DBAs. The tracking tool will track deadlines and completion dates.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with providers; and governmental plan contacts regarding provider enrollment statuses. Investigate and resolve enrollment problems.
  • Adheres to HMH organizational and managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Implements continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics.


Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of health care experience.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state regulations directly or indirectly related to enrollment.
  • Strong relationship development skills and be an excellent collaborator across the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and results orientation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships work on cross-functional teams and have excellent process/project management skills.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality solutions and play an integral part in a cohesive team.
  • Exceptional ability to work successfully with executives.
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to articulate and defend a point of view.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software applications.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
  • Preferably a Certification in Project Management or equivalent experience.
