Position: Technical Manager cum Tester in-charge

What are my job responsibilities?

  • Responsible of Signalling technical activities in a mainline project including all the sub-systems
  • Work closely with Project Manager to support; in particular the technical aspects in the signalling system
  • Actively involve with the Engineering Lead (SMO THA CoC or it's equivalent) on the signalling system design including providing inputs to the design engineering
  • Participate and provide inputs to all signalling design activities for the mainline project
  • Participate in the meeting with customer, operator and other WPC to finalize the design for all the sub-systems
  • Participate, execute the site tests with Client
  • Interfacing with other parts of the Siemens Mobility organization to try to improve the design and tools as much as possible to keep the overall system efficient and economical to deliver.
  • Be the Tester In-charge representing the overall signalling system and provide the competence and confidence the clients will demand
  • Coordinate and interface with different parties (Client, Operator, WPCs, Design Team in Thailand, Engineering and T&C Manager, Project Manager)
  • Ensure the accomplishment of Project Milestone with regards to technical and testing & commissioning


What are my job requirements?

  • Bachelor degree (or greater) in Electrical, Computer, Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years working experience in Design and/or T&C on Signaling Systems
  • At least 8 years working experience in project coordination / planning / team management
  • Flexible working hours and schedule (example: night or weekend)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong Knowledge on System Development Life Cycle and Configuration Management
  • Knowledge in computer science and electricity
  • Windows, Linux OS working experience
  • Capacity to schedule activities and follow up
  • Fluent in English and capacity to write technical documentation in English
  • Capacity to analyze and have a system point of view
  • Capacity to summarize and send clear reporting
  • Experience in system integration, Software and/or Hardware would be appreciated
  • Work Package Management experience would be appreciated
