POSITION SUMMARY 
The Accounting Manager plans, directs, and manages all aspects of day-to-day finance, accounting, and banking for all legal entities. In addition, this position will assist in implementing accounting processes and procedures to enhance overall effectiveness. 
 
LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 1 – 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
  • Lead the month-end close process, including preparation, review, and approval, as appropriate, of all monthly journal entries, revenue recognition, and all account reconciliations. 
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and financial deliverables, such as invoices, reports, and reviews.  
  • Perform initial review of monthly financial statements. 
  • Analyze account activity including researching, identifying, and proposing corrections where appropriate. 
  • Assist with annual audits (financial, tax, agreed-upon procedure) including samples, support schedules, analysis questions, and other requirements. 
  • Develop an understanding of key financial processes to be able to suggest and implement improvements. 
  • Oversee the management of cash and assist with cash forecasts. 
  • Oversight and management of accounts receivable. 
  • Assist with the accounts payable processes and transactions. 
  • Provide financial analysis on various activities/special projects. 
  • Willingness to work on other ad hoc projects and analyses as required. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.  
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role required, within sports/entertainment industry preferred. 
  • CPA preferred, not required.  
  • Experience with Sage Intacct preferred, not required.  
  • Detail-oriented and driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done. 
  • Ability to analyze processes and procedures to make improvements. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently – both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook). 
  • Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. 
 
SALARY RANGE 
At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the overall range for this role is up to $100,000 per year.
