POSITION SUMMARY The Accounting Manager plans, directs, and manages all aspects of day-to-day finance, accounting, and banking for all legal entities. In addition, this position will assist in implementing accounting processes and procedures to enhance overall effectiveness. LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 1 – 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead the month-end close process, including preparation, review, and approval, as appropriate, of all monthly journal entries, revenue recognition, and all account reconciliations. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and financial deliverables, such as invoices, reports, and reviews. Perform initial review of monthly financial statements. Analyze account activity including researching, identifying, and proposing corrections where appropriate. Assist with annual audits (financial, tax, agreed-upon procedure) including samples, support schedules, analysis questions, and other requirements. Develop an understanding of key financial processes to be able to suggest and implement improvements. Oversee the management of cash and assist with cash forecasts. Oversight and management of accounts receivable. Assist with the accounts payable processes and transactions. Provide financial analysis on various activities/special projects. Willingness to work on other ad hoc projects and analyses as required. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role required, within sports/entertainment industry preferred. CPA preferred, not required. Experience with Sage Intacct preferred, not required. Detail-oriented and driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done. Ability to analyze processes and procedures to make improvements. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently – both written and verbal. Ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook). Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. SALARY RANGE At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the overall range for this role is up to $100,000 per year.
