BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for a Sales Analyst. This role is based at the Summit ONE Campus in Farnborough.

The Sales Analyst role is responsible for the provision, development and application of advanced sales and pricing analytics that generate insights and for translating those insights into effective frontline action by the business lines.

What awaits you?
  • Provide key customer and product data insights for all business lines providing competitive advantage in the marketplace to support the achievement of customer and sales growth targets and objectives.
  • Take proactive action to identify the internal and external 'big data' elements that can be applied to enable advanced analytics management that will enable faster decision making and deliver positive outcomes for the business.
  • Develop and maintain pricing mechanisms and tools that replicate business calculations across the portfolio and at an individual agreement level, in order to facilitate accurate testing of IT systems and business scenarios.
  • Provide robust customer, sales and pricing analysis to support business lines in assessing the feasibility of new business products and initiatives. In particular, support the Group Brands and Alphera sales development proposals for new sales campaigns and sales programmes.
  • Conduct complex analysis on business scenarios and identify trends, before making pro-active recommendations to business line management on business improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct post implementation performance review to identify successes and failures and to propose adjustments to sales products and sales initiatives in their lifecycle based on positive and negative outcomes.
  • Challenge business proposals that fall outside of pricing parameters.
  • Prepare all of the underlying business and product data and calculations that are required for an accurate pricing and profitability assessment to be made on the commercial terms of business with our dealers and partners.


What should you bring along?
  • Experience in the financial services industry either in a pricing related or management accounting role
  • Experience in a role which demonstrates the individual can make difficult decisions within a limited time frame incorporating financial and commercial information
  • A proven track record operating in a motor financing / leasing environment is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Data manipulation and modelling skills
  • Ability to present complex and varied data in a way that is appropriate to the audience and facilitates understanding
  • Good knowledge of pricing and modelling techniques and approaches.
  • Good knowledge of the automotive financial services industry
  • Good understanding of commercial, legal, tax and accounting framework around motor finance and leasing
  • Ability to work effectively in a time pressured environment and prioritise own workload
  • Influencing, persuading and relationship management skills to build working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and with external key stakeholders
  • Good commercial awareness
