The Performance and Risk Analytics ('PRA') Team is responsible for providing an overview and analysis of portfolio performance to institutional clients such as investment managers and superannuation funds. This is achieved through various analytical tools and reports including performance measurement, attribution and contribution analysis, risk analysis and other value-added services such as portfolio optimization and manager analysis.

As a Performance and Risk Analytics Associate II within our client management team, you will be tasked with the analysis of investment performance and risk metrics, providing actionable insights to our stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in supporting decision-making processes, implementing organizational objectives, and maintaining high standards in reporting and client management. You will also be responsible for conducting performance review calls with clients, addressing their requests, queries, and expectations regarding reporting outcomes. Additionally, you will deliver presentations and conduct workshops for clients during new onboardings or ongoing due diligences.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive performance analysis of investment portfolios, including attribution analysis, benchmarking and performance measurement against objectives.
  • Develop and maintain performance and risk reporting frameworks, dashboards and models to provide timely and accurate reporting to clients.
  • Analyze and report risk metrics such as volatility, beta, and value at risk (VaR) to assess portfolio risk exposure.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, clients investment analytics team, internal teams, vendors to understand and deliver requests and respond to queries from client.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and scenario testing to evaluate the impact of market events and changes in investment strategies on portfolio performance and risk.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting scenarios and provide cost to serve on the basis of new client RFP requirement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance performance measurement methodologies and risk management processes.
  • Participate in the implementation of performance measurement and risk analytics systems and tools, including data validation and testing.
  • Stay abreast with industry best practices, regulatory requirements and emerging trends in performance and risk analytics.
  • Work on client feedback and assess satisfaction levels regularly. Ensure prompt response to vendor queries ensuring zero client impact
  • Monitor the performance of vendor against established benchmark and metrics.


Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in performance analysis, risk analytics, or investment analytics within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of investment products, asset classes and financial markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationship with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Prompt and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written communication skills with proven client engagement expertise
  • Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and drive results in a fast-paced environment


Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Master's degree or CFA, CIPM, FRM designation preferred.
