SUMMARY: The Pit Stewards Helper plays a vital supporting role in assisting the Pit Steward in overseeing pit area operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and facilitating smooth and efficient pit stops during races. The Pit Steward Helper assists Pit Stewards with any errands they may need accomplished, including but not limited to hailing drivers, getting starting lineups, and running officials notes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Primary responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience working in a motorsports environment, such as a race team, trackside service provider, or event support staff; familiarity with racing terminology, pit stop procedures, and common racing equipment; basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive tools and equipment used for serving race cars, such as impact wrenches, jacks, and tire pressure gauges; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
