Position Summary:

As a Server at our prestigious Beach Club, an exclusive private club on the beach, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and delivering an unforgettable dining experience to our esteemed members and guests. With your elevated customer service skills and fine dining expertise, you will contribute to creating a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy their time at our exclusive beachfront establishment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, engaging with them in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Provide personalized recommendations and attentive service to enhance the dining experience.
    • Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit.
    • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively, striving to exceed their expectations.
  2. Fine Dining Experience:
    • Present menus, describe dishes, and provide detailed knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
    • Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance guests' choices.
    • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high quality standards.
    • Serve food and beverages elegantly, following proper etiquette and presentation guidelines.
  3. Order Processing and Payment Handling:
    • Accurately input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring precision in item selection, modifications, and special requests.
    • Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions securely and efficiently.
    • Calculate bills, apply discounts, and process payments accurately, providing guests with itemized receipts.
  4. Table Maintenance and Setup:
    • Set up tables with attention to detail, including proper placement of utensils, glassware, and tableware.
    • Monitor and maintain table cleanliness and presentation throughout service, promptly clearing dishes and resetting tables.
    • Coordinate with the support staff to ensure a smooth flow of service and seamless table turnovers.
  5. Knowledge and Compliance:
    • Stay updated on the Beach Club's menu offerings, promotions, and special events.
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
    • Follow established club policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Must have open availability for days, early nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs.
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining etiquette, food and beverage pairings, and menu descriptions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with high-profile individuals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the Beach Club's operational schedule.

Basic Required Skills:
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

• Most work tasks are performed outdoors in the natural elements.

• Must be able to stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5+ hours in length as well as be comfortable walking in the sand.

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

• Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.

• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs. as needed.

• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. if needed.

• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.

• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.

• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
