Overview

Responsible for overseeing a 50k sq. feet casino for all table games, slots operations and casino marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures enforcement and constant improvement of standard operating procedures aligned with US based operations and compliance with the DR Gaming Commission requirements
  • Heavily involved in training, customer service and brand standards
  • Responsible for executing the operating business plan and is proactively involved in participating in adjustments needed to ensure
  • Achievement of the determined goals
  • Constantly identifies areas of opportunity on the casino floor ensuring it has the games mix, assets and staff to maximize revenue opportunity and increase margins
  • Maintain a fluid and open communication with the Hotel Operating Departments to ensure maximizing revenue opportunities derived from in house hotel guests and visitors to the resort
  • Keeps an open door policy and is heavily involved with the staff at all levels
  • Promotes from within when possible and committed to find the best talent when needed


Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of prior experience in a major jurisdiction preferable LV/AC
  • Strong background on table games and high end business
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking or good understanding of the language)
  • Deep understanding of the compliance requirements of a US Based Gaming Operation
  • Dynamic, proactive and pragmatic, has the capacity to plan, execute and adapt under pressure
  • Understand the financial impact of the decisions and keep focus on consistently
  • Coach approach with heavy focus on training and customer service
  • Respectful of culture and engaged with diversity and social responsibility
  • Understand brand value and focus on career growth through HRI portfolio

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to maneuver in and around the entire casino and hotel area, particularly the gaming pit areas.
  • Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and demanding situations, particularly when situations involve customer or employee conflicts.
  • Must be very effective at both verbal and written communication. Proficiency in English is required.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and hearing cues.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Must be able to converse over the telephone in situations where there is loud and disruptive background noise. Job requires being on one's feet, and involves much walking between meetings and around the Casino floor.
  • Schedule flexibility required.
