Teach for America's vision is that one day, all children in the USA will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. 

Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and education professionals who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity.

More than 9,300 corps members are teaching 600,000 students in 43 low-income communities across the US. Nearly 24,000 Teach For America alumni are working from inside and outside the field of education to effect the changes needed to close the achievement gap.
