The mission of the Youth Corps of Southern Arizona (YCOSA) is to provide an environment in which corps members will develop skills necessary to act as responsible community members; strong leaders and environmental stewards. YCOSA will offer programs to: Empower youth to shape their own world through exposure to new opportunities. Provide youth with an environmental education background to be able to formulate a responsible stewardship ethic. Train youth in a new leadership model that stresses cooperation, mutual support and community service. Develop self-esteem and self-confidence through hand-on service projects.
