Job Summary:

The Supplier Relationship Manager role resides within the Global Order Operations Supplier Governance team, interacting directly with all levels of leadership at strategic suppliers as well as with many internal stakeholders (Program Management, Sales Operations, Global Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Finance, etc.). In this strategic role, the Supplier Relationship Manager will lead supplier relationships and drive improved performance across the supply chain. Detailed and timely communication is critical to the success of this role as well as the consistent execution of the job responsibilities.



Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall strategy, short/long term goals and commitments to delivering Supplier Governance targets; ensures tracking to goals and exceeding expectations.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate Key Performance Indicators (quality, service level, integration status, date management adherence, spend, volume, supplier inventory levels, WWT inventory levels and associated core working capital impacts, etc.).
  • Understand and appreciate impacts (cost and value) of entire supply chain/Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships at all levels of industry-leading technology supplier organizations, fostering partnership and collaboration and ultimately improving performance.
  • Strengthen supplier quality/service performance over time, in part by setting appropriate expectations and metrics, and routinely providing performance feedback.
  • Lead, facilitate or participate as appropriate in various formal supplier touchpoints (business reviews, cadence calls,
  • workshops, etc.). Need to be involved in session coordination, content development and follow-up.
  • Lead, facilitate or participate as appropriate in various continuous improvement initiatives. Need to ensure that all activities are data-based and follow problem-solving methodologies.
  • Promptly/methodically address any operational issues encountered and understand circumstances requiring escalation.
  • Strive to plan for everyday exceptions and anticipate need for contingencies.
  • Actively collaborates with key internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Program Management, Sales Operations,
  • Global Engineering, Operations, Logistics and Quality Assurance to understand and address supply chain issues and opportunities.
  • Promotes/highlights value generated from Supplier Governance activities to encourage future engagement opportunities to enhance Procurement credibility.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or supply chain related field (a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or related role
  • Proven track record of delivering results through process development and governance oversight.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills with experience in data mining, preparation and presentation.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and results-oriented mindset.
  • Solid organizational skills including ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by conveying info/ideas in a clear, meaningful and timely manner.
  • Self-directed learner with demonstrated ability to appropriately challenge/question status quo.
  • Influential communicator with ability to establish and develop collaborative working relationships.
  • General business knowledge, including:
    • Procurement (P2P, Sourcing, Contracting, Category Management, Supplier Management)
    • Supply Chain Operations
    • Quality Assurance
    • Finance/Accounting
    • IT/Systems
  • Basic understanding of technical subject matter inherent to the technology sector including hardware, software and
  • associated services.
  • Nature of role requires navigation of shifting customer requirements and competing organizational demands in a fast paced.
  • Standard business hours are generally observed, with work from home schedules and flexibility on start/end times.
  • Work in an open-office environment with desk sharing/hoteling practices.
  • Travel between Maryland Heights, MO and Edwardsville, IL locations may be occasionally required.


Customer Based Requirements



This role includes assignment of work for specific WWT customers. Some customers have specific on-boarding



requirements, including background check and drug testing requirements that go beyond WWT's requirements. Ability to



meet these requirements may be necessary for continued employment, depending on needs of the department.
