The Industrial Engineering team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Entry Level or Associate Industrial Engineers to join our growing team located in either Everett, Renton, Seattle, Auburn, or Puyallup, Washington, USA locations. The ideal candidate will apply business acumen and knowledge to partner with cross functional teams from production operations, engineering, quality, supplier management, materials management, and program management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives. We are looking for dynamic thinkers, problem solvers, and motivated team members to drive results as Boeing continues its journey to becoming a Global Industrial Champion. Position Overview: Our Industrial Engineers will start by learning the production build processes of their organization, while developing an understanding of the Industrial Engineering Services Wheel and statement of work. You'll be integrated into stabilizing the production system, implementing lean methodologies, assessing and performing to rate readiness requirements, as well as improving quality through root cause analysis. Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player. Our business units provide you the opportunity to learn all aspects of the Aerospace Manufacturing environment and allow you to explore and learn the complete production system from supply chain production readiness, to fabrication of raw materials, assembly and installation, and supporting deliveries to our customers around the world. Primary Responsibilities: All tasks below are conducted under the guidance of an experienced team member and include introduction and training in the specific processes and standard templates used by the business unit and program.
Work Authorization Statement: The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. Typical Education/Experience: Entry Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Associate: Bachelor's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Shift: This position is to support 1st shift (start times dependent on organization), with some collaboration possible between 2nd and 3rd shift.
