The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Fighters Communications Avionics Engineer to join the Fighters Communications & Production Support team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. This position leads development, integration, test, and sustainment activities for communications equipment installed on Fighters programs including the F-15, F/A-18, and E/A-18G Platforms. The selected candidate will lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, lead and coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, lead work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, coordinate with others to develop program test strategies, conduct program independent reviews and report to program leadership, solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, and research technology advances for potential application to company business needs. The candidate will be recognized as an expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Fighters Communications Avionics Engineers . This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Typical Education/Experience: Lead Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Senior Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
