RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership and promote WWT core values and best practices
  • Grows and develops members of your team: understands their goals and works with them to achieve, holds regular and effective 1 on 1s, provides real-time coaching and engage in difficult conversations as needed, recognizes and rewards the right behaviors
  • Determines team members' compensation, hire/performance improvement/fire decisions and promotions
  • Proactively identifies and helps solves issues as part of the broader IT Leadership Team
  • Creates and fosters an atmosphere of mentoring, quality, diversity, collaboration and improvement by actively coaching your team members as well as others across the organization
  • Escalates and removes impediments from the teams to help them be as effective as possible
  • Works with the team to provide innovative IT solutions to business challenges that align to the product strategy and architectural standards
  • Drives the on-going development and the support of new and existing business processes
  • Leads the designing of complex solutions, primarily within the product domain, leveraging team members and architecture
  • Provides functional and technical leadership while promoting best practices and direction to team members
  • Holds the team accountable for meeting commitments while adhering to the organization's quality, methodology, and architecture standards


  • Manages training budget and provides input to staffing decisions for the team
  • Determines and acts upon staffing needs of the team (FTEs, system integrators, staff augmentation), in collaboration with other leaders
  • Manages relationships with vendors (3rd party vendors, staffing vendors)
  • Incorporates business feedback into strategic planning and drives towards increased predictability of delivery
  • Prepares and delivers informal and formal presentations to own team, department, other IT teams, and business partners.
  • Inspires lasting relationships with Team Members, Leaders and Customers; building trust through proven results and added value Essential Functions
  • Serves as a resource for employees and customers to ensure problems are heard and resolved
  • Hires the best candidates (internal or external) to diversify the team
  • Builds shared purpose and targeted goals
  • Faces challenges head-on, providing empathy and understanding to employees who may be struggling • Acts decisively to correct behavior and celebrates team members' success
  • Thinks beyond the day to day, talks about possibilities, creates milestones and goals to gather support for team vision
  • Effectively copes with ambiguity and change, fosters an environment of creativity and innovation


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience managing project initiatives across multiple IT and business organizations
  • Preferred experience with various development frameworks/technologies
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Passion for Software Development and well-versed in industry trend
  • Work is accomplished without considerable direction.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in obtaining results.
  • Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment.
  • Takes calculated risks with consultation from the expert.
