Role - Senior Analyst, Data Engineering: Location - Hyderabad Role Overview As a rapidly expanding global company, growing both organically and through acquisitions, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to be a part of the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) Performance Analytics & Strategy (PAS) team. Q2C PAS team is within the Revenue Growth & Automation (RGA) org which is the global business process owner for Salesforce for end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes. The RGA mission is to drive best-in-class end-to-end Q2C performance, improving the experience of our sellers, operators and customers through transformation. You will be given the opportunity and empowered to influence using the power of data and analytics! As a Senior Analyst - Data Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and maintaining the ETL/ELT components. Your focus will be on building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data across the Q2C organization. Your role involves designing and implementing data quality processes, conducting assessments, and collaborating with various teams to establish and maintain high data quality standards. Role Description: Table Stakes: Build systems that collect, manage, and transform raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret. Wrangling large data sets using SQL, Python to identify, quantify and monitor risks in multiple processes across the company. Own your coverage: Take ownership of design and development of complex data pipelines, integrations, database objects and solutions that align with business objectives. Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and scalability. Drive multiple/cross-function data source integration and modeling strategies to enable seamless metrics development experience for BI teams and to ultimately enable data-driven decision-making for our stakeholders. Be an example: Provide strong technical expertise within the data engineering team. Collaborate with other data engineers, business analysts on solutioning data requests. CI/CD: Champion engineering best practices, automate processes, and contribute to activities that streamline operations and enhance overall reliability of our data sets. Actively seek opportunities for innovation in data engineering processes and solutions in pursuit of business value. Get predictive: Proactively looks for opportunities to apply data science models to find/prove business value Data migration, Documentation: Our tech stack is evolving, as we are ever adapting. Therefore, at some point, you can expect migration, validation & testing from one system to another. This work is admittedly less exciting, but it is a value and critical to drive scale. Desired Skills and Experience: 4+ years of experience in data engineering and/or related roles. Passion and love for solving business problems using data. Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical equivalent experience. Proficiency in common analytical programming languages (e.g. Python or R) and SQL, ETL/ELT tools/techniques, advanced data modeling techniques. Fair understanding of end-to-end data development, including data model design, quality review, deployment, audits and maintenance. Familiar with basics of statistics and machine learning methods. Curiosity in doing POCs/POVs using data science techniques/models to find/prove business value. Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data engineering field(tools and techniques) and curious to find potential areas to apply them to find/prove business value. Asks the right questions. Rationalizes business value and the approaches taken. Collaborates and vets the approach with peers. Understands and adapts to the working style of cross functional and global stakeholders/team members in an always evolving environment. Effectively communicates(written and verbal) with them to move projects forward. Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
