Scope of the Role: CPQ Developer Support Engineer profile gives you the opportunity expand your expertise across the Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Platform. Mission of this role is to provide the highest level of communication to customers in need of support. The Support engineer is responsible for supporting existing customers' Salesforce CPQ instances, closely working alongside developers from other companies. The engineer analyses issues logged by customers, uses product expertise and shares best practices to drive to case closure. The engineer follows standard support practices and procedures while providing an excellent customer experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Understand Quote-to-Cash processes and become an expert in Salesforce Quote-to-Cash
  • Understand customer's business needs Provide top level of support that ensures customer's success
  • Quickly analyze cases logged by customer and assist them with resolving the issue
  • Respond to and update the open cases in a timely fashion and manage dozens of cases at a time
  • Answer questions relating to the customer's instance, Salesforce CPQ, and salesforce.com
  • Train other engineers and document best practices and new processes
  • Communicate product ideas, bugs, and customizations to the product development team
  • Assist third-party developers to troubleshoot their integration with Salesforce CPQ APIs, Apex, Visualforce and supported third party plugins. This will involve debugging, troubleshooting, and taking responsibility to see that the issue is fully resolved.
  • Write sample code and test classes to internally reproduce the behavior


Experience/Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in Computer Science or an engineering field)
  • CPQ experience or understanding of quote-to-cash process
  • Background or training with object oriented programming
  • Prior experience troubleshooting JavaScript, HTML, XSL/XML, REST and Soap Services
  • Apex(Synchronous and Asynchronous)
  • Debugging/Troubleshooting Errors
  • Flows/Process Builder
  • History of strong software troubleshooting skills
  • Customer facing experience or demonstrated ability to communicate with customers is required
  • Passion for customer's success and patience in working on challenging issues
  • A natural curiosity for learning about new subjects
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with friendly, patient and professional phone demeanor
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to quickly compose clear and concise answers


Experience/Skills Desired:
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (DEV401 Certified)
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM201 Certified)
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (ADM211 Certified)
  • Salesforce Billing
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
  • Previous experience with Salesforce.com CRM and its technologies

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $84,300 to $116,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
