DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an exceptional Principal Program Manager to help us develop new ways to build trust in Amazon Flex driver evaluation. In this role, you will be at the center of helping the team identify and solve our most difficult problems to help us develop new ways to build trust in Amazon Flex driver evaluation.
Since Day 1, Amazon has focused on providing new and innovative technologies to solve challenges in the last mile delivery space. The Last Mile team ensures the most customer-centric experience possible, from the time a customer places an order with Amazon to the time the package reaches the customer. Amazon Flex is an integral part of this world class last mile operation. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors - called delivery partners - to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages.
Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems, and allows delivery partners to on board, schedule delivery times, guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, and more. The approach and technology are disruptive, and promise to challenge traditional approaches, and change the way the industry operates.
This Principal Program Manager will lead a portfolio of Flex Service Level Standards (SLS) driver evaluation programs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing escalations and global programs across the Amazon Flex org, influencing scalable solutions that span multiple businesses, technology and operational teams. This role requires comfort in ambiguous situations and maintaining a high bar in a high pressure, dynamic environment. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. This leader will display high judgment, make data-driven decisions, and drive innovative solutions with cross-functional business partners. Our ideal candidate will have a deep customer-focused background, demonstrating mastery of stakeholder and project management fundamentals. By leading a team of subject matter experts, you will ensure global process compliance and develop risk mitigation strategy. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required, including a demonstrated ability to effectively deliver information to c-suite/VP level and drivers at scale, globally.

Key job responsibilities
• Ability to root cause opportunities and extract insights using anecdotes and a data driven approach, managing escalations from end-to-end
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver world-class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong customer and driver experience focus
• Build strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders to drive aligned vision, prioritization, and accountability
• Be responsible for Flex driver evaluation risk and compliance strategy, uncovering compliance issues and leading mitigation strategies with cross-functional stakeholders
• Leverage highly effective oral and written communication skills, raising the bar for driver-facing communication and internal stakeholder management
• Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for driver evaluation fairness, ensuring your roadmap stays aligned with organization objective
• Ability to maintain highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality and integrity
