As a QA Automation Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Bank Technology and Sales Enablement team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, test, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple complex applications and provides subject matter expertise to set direction and participates in creating test strategies and test plans for more than one project and/or applications.
  • Identifies and implements areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles , and automation of test scripts.
  • Communicates effectively with QA teams, IT Development, Project Management, and other support staff.
  • Assists the team to develop test project plans, test schedule, test plans, and detailed test cases as defined by Project teams.
  • Participates in review sessions of business requirements, technical requirements, and design documents to ensure that software changes are understood to facilitate testing.
  • Sponsors initiatives designed to support continual QA process improvements, and the integration of the QA process with other development activities.
  • Initiates and completes test escape and root cause analysis, testing lessons learned, recommends future process improvements and defect prevention.
  • Have Proficiency in integration testing strategies to ensure end-to-end system reliability.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field and 3+ years of applied experience•
  • Framework Development Experience with automation tools like Selenium (lang: Java, Groovy)
  • Expertise in API / Contract testing. Experience implementing contract testing methodologies for microservices architectures.
  • Test script design experience in Gherkin format (preferably BDD-Cucumber)
  • Hands-on practical experience on Performance Testing using tools like JMeter/Blazemeter
  • Deep knowledge of various Testing Models (BDD/Agile Practices)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the integration of various testing strategies.
  • Ability to operate comfortably in a multi-task / multi priority environment across a global team.
  • Should have experience on tools like JIRA / Confluence
  • Proven experience in all aspects of functional, integration and regression testing


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS , containerization e.g., Docker)
  • Exposure in Database-related programming & Non-Functional Testing
  • Experience with testing Mobile Native & Hybrid Apps and relevant Automation Experience
