Location: RAAF Base Amberley Category: Engineering / Technical Position Type: Permanent Job Reference: BOE/1791975 No File Attached Share This: The Opportunity The Boeing MQ28 - is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical, AME based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland to support this exciting opportunity. Additionally, this position may also support other exciting programs at Amberley including : C-17A Globemaster, F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler and E-7A Wedgetail. Responsibilities The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable: trade; qualifications; training; competency; and, Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) authorization(s). The AME completes assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of AMO aircraft maintenance activities, sign-off, and Certification of those aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with the appropriate Authorised Maintenance Data (AMD). These maintenance activities require the application of trade qualifications and experience in the relevant trade category. Additionally, the aircraft maintenance activities may require the application of post-trade qualifications and experience. AME conducting Certification are required to interpret Instruction for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) airworthiness limitations from within AMD and apply them to the assessment of defects and imperfections.
