About the role

The Technical Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing the day-by-day procurement process for assigned ships.

He/she will be dealing with the Technical Superintendent, Marine Manager, L&D Training Manager and Director of Medical Operations daily depending on business needs.

He/she will also oversee the procurement process relevant to projects (relevant but not limited to ship refitting, conversion and dry-dock) supporting the technical superintendent.

Main duties:

  1. In charge of the technical procurement process for the ships under her/his responsibility
  2. Supporting the Technical Procurement Manager and Superintendent (TSI) in the negotiation and evaluation of offers related to special projects
  3. Coordinating with TSI to deal with Technical Logistics Team for urgent deliveries and out of ordinary day to day operations
  4. Ensuring smooth payment process of the orders (spare and services), supporting accounting dept. in the invoice review and validation process.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or economical field is preferred.


FINANCIAL/QUANTITIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Co-responsible of the following budgets:
  1. Fleet repair and maintenance budget
  2. Dry-dock and refurbishments budget
  3. Special projects (CAR) budget
