The O'Fallon IL YMCA is looking for a motivated candidate for their Associate Executive Director position.

Our geographic reach covers St. Louis City, seven Missouri counties, and six counties in southwest Illinois through 24 branch locations, YMCA of the Ozarks, Community Development Branch, Washington University Campus Y and approximately 120 program sites. • Branch Locations - provide the delivery of diverse, equitable and inclusive programming focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. • YMCA Camp Lakewood and YMCA Trout Lodge in Potosi, Mo - develops leadership through residency camping, family programming and corporate team building. • Community Development YMCA - Provides resources to address the bi-state region's most pressing social issues in education, employment, mental health, and youth development. • Washington University Campus Y is a collegiate student leadership facility that offers 21 community service programs that are student led and student run.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, recreation, business or a related field, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
  • Ability to direct assigned operations including volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development.
  • Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association goals, and strategies. May direct branch marketing and communication efforts.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to ensure a balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.
  • Establishes plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives and the leadership team.
  • Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
  • Provides staff support for assigned committees. Provides staff leadership for annual support campaign.
  • May ensure the maintenance of facilities and properties of the branch to ensure high standards of maintenance, safety, and cleanliness and to assure that the requirements of regulatory codes are fully met.
  • Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
