How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Under the direction of the Quality Systems Supervisor, the Inspector - manufacturing will be responsible for ensuring that all products produced at Delta Flight Products (DFP) conform to the requirements, as issued in accordance with company policy. DFP is seeking a qualified individual with a background as technician, engineer, or inspector in a manufacturing environment. The individual should also have experience in the aviation industry as a technician or an inspector.

Primary Functions

  • Responsible for leading in process and final inspection.
  • Responsible for coordinating inspections throughout facility.
  • Responsible for supporting The Quality System Supervisor
  • Responsible for supporting Quality Engineering requests.
  • Responsible for ensuring all production operations meet inspection requirements.
  • Reads Engineering blueprints to determine requirements for incoming inspections.
  • Takes measurements of key characteristics of parts using traditional measuring devices.
  • Record Acceptance / Rejection information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool.
  • Uses instrumented and Non-Instrumented NDT techniques to verify integrity of all products.
  • Issues statement of conformity for all parts produced at DFP.


What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • 3 or more years of experience aviation
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' relevant work experience.  Aviation related industry experience preferred.
  • Must be self-starting, strong attention to detail and an possess effective organizational skills.  
  • Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate dependability and timeliness.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate good computer skills and proficiency with DFP, Microsoft Office applications and other applications as needed.
  • Must be familiar with continuous improvement process.
  • Knowledge of inspection standards/techniques
  • Some occasionally climb, squat, bend, kneel during shift.
  • General warehouse environment
