We're looking for a curious Sr. Business Intelligence Engineering Manager interested in working in a multi-disciplinary team of business intelligence engineers, business analysts, TPM's and product managers. In this role, you will lead a team of BIEs to bust myths, create insights, and produce recommendations to help Central RME to deliver world class service to the Amazon network. You and your team will be involved in all phases of research, experiment, design and analysis, including defining research questions, designing experiments, identifying data requirements, and communicating insights and recommendations. You'll also be expected to continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to analyze big data and enhance our analytics. All of this work is performed in close coordination with senior business leaders. These are exciting fast-paced businesses in which we get to work on extremely interesting analytical problems, in an environment where you get to learn from other engineers and apply econometric, statistics, and machine learning at a massive scale.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop a team of BIEs and BAs to support the analytics need for Central RME.
• Define the long-term vision and portfolio of initiatives to improve the customer experience and business results through creating world-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling.
• Drive a Business Intelligence roadmap; prioritize business insight requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business
• Lead the definition and governance of key business metrics, drive the vision and building of self-service analytic capabilities, and engineer data-driven processes to reduce maintenance costs.
• Review latest AWS solutions, develop proof of concept ideas performing cost benefit analysis to develop new product catering to diverse customer needs.
• Interface with business customers and product managers, gather requirements and deliver accurate, easy to use and scalable Business Intelligence solutions.
• Establish trade off mechanisms to evaluate BI tool capabilities comprising of tools such as Tableau / Looker / Quicksight to name a few.
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Apply your deep analytic and business intelligence skill to extract meaningful insight and learning from large and complicated data set

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with SQL
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing a data or BI team
- Experience leading and influencing the BI strategy of your team or organization
- Experience in the data/BI space

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with very large data warehousing environment
- Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding
