DESCRIPTION Do you enjoy working with the latest front-end technologies in the cloud, collaborating with multiple partner teams, and delivering impactful user-facing solutions which orchestrate the diverse set of activities within the vast global scale of AWS Data Centers. The Boost Portal team is building a highly scalable, front-end application framework, using the most bleeding edge technologies. We force multiply the output of our entire engineering organization, enabling hundreds of developers to concurrently deliver continuous innovation for our customers every day. We are looking for a high caliber Sr. Front End Engineer to lead the development of a project with strategic significance and high exposure. In this initiative, we will tackle some of the most intriguing problems in software architecture and modern UX development. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to hit the ground running. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, customers, and other engineers to help define the scope of the product. You will be counted on to be an influential voice in decisions related to front-end system architecture, feature development, and product strategy. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Bellevue, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
