United States, Georgia, Atlanta TechOps 29-Apr-2024 Ref #: 24609 How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Lead Project Manager is a leader of capital modifications or new/used aircraft acquisitions. This position leads large and complex cross-divisional projects and its associated budget to completion. The candidate assembles project teams that comprised of Engineering, Supply Chain, Aircraft Maintenance, FltOps/Inflight, and various other groups as applicable, both internal and external to Delta. A Lead PM will develop a project plan via Microsoft Project/Smartsheets and collaborate with team members to accomplish project tasks. Driving success by mitigating risks, evaluating solutions, and overcoming obstacles that bring project risk. Routinely communicates to stakeholders, team members and division leaders to inform all the project health and status. The Lead Project Manager accurately scopes project out the length and complexity of the tasks, while managing deliverables that are within the project charter scope. This includes but is not limited to creating project change requests, adjusting budget forecasts, analyzing production schedules, and executing project tasks. Reports expenditures, prepares funding allocations, and justifies cost discrepancies from planned to actual. Additionally, this position takes on the leadership role to develop mitigation plans and strategies, addresses project risks, serves as the focal when communicating cross-divisionally. A Lead Project Manager provides status reports, project updates and communicates to all team members, project stakeholders, and external suppliers. Plans and measures the program goals and objectives and is responsible for the overall project health. The Lead Product Manager is expected to be proactive and organized - requiring minimal supervision or direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for consistently practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) The Senior Lead Project Manager position requires a bachelor's degree or an A&P Mechanics license, or with proven track record of critical problem solving and the ability to think large scale. A master's degree and/or PMP is preferred. Candidate must be able to successfully execute and manage the scope, schedule, and budget cross-divisional projects. Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment when executing aircraft projects, resulting in employee safety and well-being.
