Meta is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations specialist to focus on PoP Network and Warehouse Distribution operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the EMEA Logistics Team to develop, implement, and drive consistant reliable logistics services.This role demands excellent communication skills, a data-driven mindset, strong organizational capabilities, process proficiency, and in-depth knowledge of logistics processes and systems.

Logistics Operations Specialist Responsibilities:



  • Oversee daily distribution and transportation services to fully support data centers. Identify and track opportunities for continuous improvements, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize service levels and operations.
  • Refine, and maintain documentation capturing and promoting processes and policies for safe and effective logistics operations execution.
  • Manage and ensure timely, compliant systematic receipts at vendor-managed locations
  • Manage vendors to fulfill inventory management obligations, encompassing month-end validations, SOX compliance audits, and inventory transaction requirements in order to achieve essential operational objectives.
  • Ensure all operational activities adhere to compliance with business needs.
  • Continuously analyze metrics for trends, process compliance, and logistics operations performance.
  • Manage invoice and receipt exceptions, analyzing issue trends and working with internal teams and vendors to resolve.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in freight management, distribution, logistics/reverse logistics or similar.
  • Proven track record in supply chain optimisation, best practice and process implementation.
  • Understanding of International freight and trade/compliance
  • Solid understanding and experience in warehouse inventory management
  • Skilled in excel, powerpoint and / or Gsuite tools, and data analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working across internal business organisations and with external business partners
  • Strong organizational and time management skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • BS degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Lean Six Sigma
