We're looking for a Foundry QA Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

The Foundry Product Engineer will oversee the successful execution of foundry qualifications for the CICV BU. Collaborating with foundries and internal stakeholders, including R&D, foundry managers, and application engineers, they will manage scheduling, resourcing, and reporting on ongoing foundry library qualifications. Acting as the primary point of contact for qualification matters and requests, they will also offer guidance on technology enablement requirements to drive business success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure Mentor conformance to foundry approved references through foundry device model and simulator qualifications, focusing on AMSV analog circuit simulators (Eldo, AFS, or AFS Mega). This support may extend to other AMSV BU products.
  • Deliver timely and accurate library qualification reports.
  • Automate foundry test cases in the format used by AMS testing tools and regularly conduct regressions for new simulator releases.
  • Test and monitor simulator performance, reporting any significant performance degradation.
  • Develop various test cases to assess new Foundry requirements using analog design languages (Spice, Verilog-A).
  • Consider different quality attributes (FURPS) while validating Foundry requirements, with a focus on Performance attributes.
  • Execute tests, analyze reports, diagnose problems, report them to development teams, and propose potential solutions.
  • Serve as the first line of support for foundries on AMSV simulators or modeling-related issues, opening JIRAs, coordinating resolutions with R&D, and automating tests to prevent regressions.
  • Collaborate closely with the device modeling team and foundry manager to create project requirement documents.
  • Partner with leading foundries to establish quality assurance and Reference flows.
  • Regularly participate in all or assigned foundry technical meetings.
  • Assist in preparing materials for presentations to foundries and AMS BU customers regarding foundry qualification status and issue updates.
  • Help maintain and update the foundry confluence page.
  • Support the study of foundries' roadmaps and technology roadmaps to provide guidance to R&D on technology enablement requirements.
