Learn more about DEI at Michigan Engineering: Responsibilities* The Department of Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering is looking for an Assistant Research Scientist to work in the area of planetary sciences. They will develop models and theories to understand the emission of non-thermal electromagnetic radiation by colliding space debris that could enable the characterization and tracking currently undetectable small space debris. They will also conduct impactful research on the surface environments of planetary bodies and their interactions with space instruments. Required Qualifications* Ph.D. in planetary sciences or related field. Desired Qualifications* Prior knowledge in space debris research.
