Acquisitions & Strategic Investments is currently recruiting for an Executive Director to join us in our mid-town New York location.

Acquisitions & Strategic Investments is a centralized global function and part of the Corporate Sector in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.

Acquisitions & Strategic Investments works with JPMC's lines of business and functions in connection with acquisitions, strategic investments, and related activities, including a broad range of non-transaction activities (e.g., portfolio management, market monitoring/research, Resolution & Recovery, project-rated analysis and reporting).

As an Executive Director in Acquisitions & Strategic Investments, you will be engaged with a wide range of activities and this role will be particularly focused on Acquisitions & Strategic Investments' activities and deliverables supporting the separability component of JPMC's Resolution & Recovery planning as well as managing and executing other non-transaction related reporting and analysis activities. This role reports to a Managing Director in Acquisitions & Strategic Investments.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage the development and review of Acquisitions & Strategic Investments' deliverables for the separability component of JPMC's Resolution & Recovery planning, including valuations, financial impacts, divestiture process overviews, and electronic data room preparation / analyses
  • Manage and execute the preparation of analyses and insights related to transaction and other reporting to senior management
  • Create, maintain, and review financial models and valuation analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
  • Monitor market trends and activity, including valuation and other financial information on select announced transactions, institutions, and product portfolios (e.g., researching industry segments to identify key trends and competitive dynamics)
  • Review and supervise activities of junior resources
  • Train, develop, and coach junior resources


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA with a strong interest in strategic transaction activities, financial analysis, and project management
  • 10+ years experience with transaction activity and financial / valuation analysis
  • Strong executive communication skills and consultative approach to partner with senior leadership and firmwide stakeholders
  • Experience with managing large and geographically dispersed projects and project teams
  • Strong organization skills, including ability to manage multiple, complex projects and competing priorities in parallel
  • Ability to focus on best practices in terms of process, communication and financial analysis, including the ability to focus on details without losing sight of the big picture
  • Client-service focused team player who operates with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and professionalism
