Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate for the Food and Beverage Intern position is looking for hands on experience in the field of Food and Beverage. The Intern must have a desire to learn Restaurant Operations and will rotate through 6 different outlets throughout their internship. The F&B Intern will assist with special projects and support in all areas including culinary, food service, and administration. The intern will participate in comprehensive, on-the-job management training in the food and beverage operation, in both front and back of house operations. The intern will be exposed to operations management including staffing, procurement, production, controls and shift operations and may be asked to perform these duties. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will complete a major project (will be discussed before offer of employment), and in doing so may be required to utilize Microsoft Office. Intern may be assigned other projects to improve levels of operational efficiency Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The Food and Beverage Intern candidate must have coursework in Food and Beverage/Hospitality with the goal of receiving a four-year college degree in Food and Beverage/Hospitality or a related field. The candidate must be able to communicate well on the phone and in person and have a strong working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products. The successful intern must be able to develop constructive and productive working relationships with a diverse pool of people with a variety of backgrounds, education and experience. This candidate is expected to have strong personal computer skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, and the ability to learn software programs quickly. The intern must have outstanding listening skills, and good communications skills, be very detail oriented, be very Spotlight on Serviced on accuracy, and be able to work without close supervision. This individual needs to be a self starter and should look to proactively offer support to team members in the operation. Is able to work in smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
