JOB SUMMARY:

Harrah's Philadelphia is hiring a Marketing Intern. The successful candidate will have responsibility and exposure that will include but not limited marketing, social media, advertising, finance, entertainment and special events. The Marketing Intern will assist in overseeing internal requesting departments and a variety of teams to meet production deadlines in a timely and cost-effective manner. The interns will oversee proofs and all creative/copy to ensure accuracy and is responsible for creation and submission for a variety of marketing materials through a variety of software programs. Responsibilities also include interacting with corporate teams, collaborating with internal team members, working with external partners and creative writing plus design. The Intern will be interacting with guests on the floor during promotional giveaways and must display good customer service skills. The candidate must possess an exceptional command of all things digital, written communication and have former marketing experience.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Responsible for assisting in the creation and managing of the strategic communications/marketing plan for the Harrah's Philadelphia Marketing Team, both internally and externally collateral and messaging
  • Handle on-property collateral strategy; enhancing the effectiveness of property activations through effective timing of supporting collateral and marketing levers - both for Front of House and Back of House communications
  • Demonstrate good customer service while executing promotional giveaways or assisting with the Caesars Rewards Center.
  • Plans and manages production and maintenance of any necessary video content for property Advertising use, both Front of House and Back of House through Adobe
  • Manage communication and working relations with other property departments in order to secure and maintain their cooperation for assistance with special events and promotion programs
  • Responsible for uploading all work orders, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of files, records and lists
  • Data entry for the property web sites, providing copy to Corporate Advertising, keeping it updated and continually check for accuracy
  • Understanding and passion for emerging marketing channels
  • Ownership for all tasks and willingness to seek out information when necessary
  • Complete understanding of editorial standards and usability for online environments.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Other assignments directed by the Sr. Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing or Vice President of Marketing


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Sophomore level or beyond at a University
  • Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Graphic Design or something of the equivalent degrees preferred
  • Previous Internship Experience Preferred


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and carry at least 50lbs
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to make rational, clear decisions, act quickly and solve problems in a timely manner
  • High Proficiency in Adobe Suite applications
  • Effective Networking and strong presentation skills
  • Understanding of all traditional media sources as well as new social media opportunities
