The Transformation, Analytics & Strategy team is an internal team to Workforce Management that provides tools, reporting, systems, processes, and knowledge to optimize our workforce in an evolving and dynamic environment. We are the analytical center of excellence acting as the primary consultants within the Workforce Management organization and beyond - driving analytical and strategic work. We manage relationships across multiple levels of the Walt Disney World site - up to and including regular updates to the site President. We are expected to understand complex processes from end to end and to drive value through solution design, development, and implementation.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation of Workforce Management data solutions - including automation and data warehouse management - to influence and support Executive and client decision-making and insight
  • Lead change management and collaboration with system and data end users to identify opportunities for new capabilities in information, analysis, and reporting on large and complex data sets
  • Lead troubleshooting of both data and code quality issues
  • Design and analyze large data sets from multiple disparate data sources (current, and new); create and present an understandable, actionable result that drives important financial, legal (labor compliance), Labor Relations negotiations, and operational decisions
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant IT technologies and development methods/tools. This may involve attending seminars, training events and reading relevant journals and technical documentation. Maintain a good working knowledge of development technologies currently in use
  • Provide flexible, intuitive, and low-maintenance solutions and data storytelling for complex scenarios and time-consuming problems
  • Extend and enhance existing solutions through periodic review and quality control checks
  • Lead and train compliance and confidentiality regarding all communication, data, intellectual property, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship management skills including but not limited to, mentoring and guiding peers and colleagues, communicating advanced analytical concepts to non-technical audiences, and influencing and building trust with key stakeholders with a variety of objectives.
  • Make day-to-day decisions within scope, and have an awareness of when an issue or decision should be escalated to leadership for direction or visibility
  • Be a subject matter expert/specialist within their scope of work resulting in them being the partner of choice for executives and key decision-makers


Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 4+ years of experience in data warehouse workspaces
  • Experience with data concepts like ETL, near-/real-time data, data ingest, data syndication, data curation, metadata, and workflow management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake)
  • Experience working with data manipulation and analytical tools (R, Dataiku, SSMS, PowerAutomate, PowerBI)
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics (AI, Statistical Analysis, Forecasting, Optimization, Machine Learning)
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, database security, backup, and recovery procedures


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Disney Experience
  • Workforce Management Experience
  • Experience with Python


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Operational Research, Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
