Requirements and Competencies Must be at least 18 years old Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have electronics trade school or equivalent military training with emphasis on electronics Must have at least 1 year of practical electronics or fire alarm system experience Must have a good working knowledge of multi-meters and other basic hand tools Must be able to obtain FASA/BASA certification within the first 90 days of employment Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet using a ladder or high reach lift Must be able to work in attics and other areas not designed for continuous occupation Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes Must be comfortable with exposure to noise, vibrations and motion Must be able to train on and properly use protective gear Must be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor Must be comfortable working around animals Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays Desired Qualifications Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications preferred Experience in repairs of Gamewell, Notifier and Simplex fire alarm systems preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred Familiarity with NFPA codes preferred Primary Responsibilities Perform fire alarm inspections under supervision Assist with fire suppression system inspections Inspect/Repair fire extinguishers, emergency lights, exit lights, and other safety equipment Perform field/bench repairs of fire/security alarm equipment and associated reporting hardware Perform installation and modification of fire/security systems and associated equipment under supervision The perks of the position: Paid Time Off Complimentary Park Tickets and Passes Park Discounts on Food and Merchandise Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401K Retirement plan Voluntary Insurance Life Insurance Disability Benefits Tuition Reimbursement Dependent and Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts Employee Assistance Program Legal Assistance Plan EEO Employer: SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
