How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Painter Tech is responsible for prepping, sanding, repairing and applying surface coatings using various methods to components according to set specifications. The Painter Tech is responsible for processing parts according to established FAA, OEM, AA's, ER/A's and our companies Process Standard procedures in a safe, timely and defect-free manner. Additionally, this technician lays out, masks cabin components using repair manuals, drawings and patterns. 

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Reads and complies with approved documentation 
  • Work ASM duties as directed 
  • Passing score on tests structured to determine the ability to perform essential job junction 
  • Strips, sands, and prepares aircraft painting using various methods including spray paint using water base, enamel, and polyurethane base 
  • Responsible for properly disposing of all waste and cleans work area upon completion.  
  • Meet the physical requirements 
  • Certain duties require working in confided spaces 
  • Prioritize work load for Paint and Laminate crew 
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operations processes and procedures 
  • The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $35.73 with a potential maximum entry rate of $36.32. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums (Examples would include but not limited to - Airframe and Powerplant license, Shift differential, Station location differential, Line Maintenance differential, Skill differential)

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have d ocumented surface coating experience.   
  • Must have 5 years  of  applicable experience .   
  • Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
