The Corporate Client Banking (CCB) group focuses on mid-cap companies that require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products. Corporate bankers leverage the power of the firm via customized financing solutions and through partnerships with treasury services, markets, investment banking and credit risk to help clients achieve their short and long-term growth objectives.

Currently we are looking for a highly motivated working student to be part of our CCB team in Germany for a duration of at least 1 year . Our team members and mentors will help you navigate the firm and continue to learn about our businesses. Access to senior management and a strong network of peers will promote ongoing professional development. 19 hours/week during the semester and fulltime in period of university holidays. The position is based in our office in Frankfurt.

Job Summary:

As a Working Student Corporate Client Banking - Emerging Talent Program you will assist CCB Team in managing aspects of client relationships as well as in country-level reporting requirements and data management. This Role provides everything you need to be successful - from training and mentorship from senior leaders to projects that engage all your skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist CCB bankers in managing internal aspects of existing client relationships
  • Help with industry and credit analysis, including reviewing financial statements, supporting the credit approval and documentation process
  • Prepare internal memos, for example senior management briefings, decision committee memoranda
  • Participate in the analysis and negotiation of financing requests in coordination with credit, product, legal and compliance teams
  • Coordinate with product and country teams to identify and execute transactions for clients globally across a range of products including debt and equity capital markets, credit risk solutions, transaction banking and M&A
  • Network with industry leaders, accessing best-in-class training and learning how all our businesses work together to provide excellent customer service
  • Assist with country-level reporting requirements and data management


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Exceptional analytical, research and project management skills
  • Familiarity with business fundamentals
  • Ability to quickly solve problems on your own and with a team
  • Entrepreneurial approach, enthusiasm, energy and a drive to succeed
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to partner and work on a team
  • The confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Genuine curiosity about the Corporate Client Banking world is the starting point. We're looking for entrepreneurial, adaptable, accurate, enthusiastic students who thrive under pressure and in a team. There's no set degree for Corporate Bankers; but a demonstrated interest in finance and economics is advantageous.
