The Boeing Company is looking for a Liaison Engineering Manager(Level K) to provide emerging design change support at our Fabrication Production site at Auburn (or Frederickson) in Puget Sound area, WA.

As an Engineering Manager, you will manage a team of MRB Engineers, facilitate communication with other Engineering leaders, Program leaders, Supply Chain Engineering peers, and others as necessary to derive an Engineering determination to disclosures. This will involve priority determination and coordination with program leaders. You will also provide higher Material Review Board (MRB) functions and oversight and interface with Operations, Quality, Engineering, airline representatives, regulatory agencies and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting airplane build, test and delivery. You will staff and direct a technical team in establishing group goals, manage budgets and monitor group performance against program and functional commitments and developing technical employees within the group.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role.
  • 2+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to aircraft structures).


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience working in factory and/or flight-line environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
