ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides assistance and on-the-job work direction to the Front Desk; nightly downtime reporting; manual rack maintenance and daily occupancy statistic maintenance.

  • Reinforces department procedures and guide Front Desk agents, Bell Staff, and PBX staff in the performance of their duties.


Oversees the administration of room assignments, room departures, guest account charges and payment receipts.

Provides administrative office assistance.

Provides input to Supervisors for the periodic reviews of assigned personnel.

Acts as liaison to Housekeeping on Graveyard shift to insure smooth downtime operations.

Generates and analyzes pre-downtime reports. Serves as liaison to IT to execute the date roll and to post room and tax.

Maintains daily occupancy report statistics.

Processes discrepancy reports, rate variations and credit reports.

Works with Housekeeping and Casino Marketing to ensure timely guest check-in and maximum occupancy.

Ensures all Diamond card holders are pre-registered and rooms checked prior to arrival.

Monitors volume to ensure fast, friendly and efficient service.

Ensures that customer problems/complaints are handled in an effective, courteous manner.

Ensures that all Front Desk staff behavior and appearance are in compliance with established policy.

Maintains knowledge of hotel, community and special events in order to accurately provide guests with needed information.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years experience in a Hotel Front Desk position or 1 year as a supervisor in a guest service position.

Strong organizational, communication and supervisory skills required.

Excellent customer service/public relations skills required.

Professional appearance required.

Computer skills Word, Office 97, LMS, EXCEL preferred.

Ability to work rotating shift with fluctuating days off required.

JOB DEMANDS

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Position requires 90% standing, 10% walking.

Requires some pushing and twisting.

Requires some bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping and frequent reaching above and below shoulders. Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.

Must be able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke.

Fast-paced environment involving constant public contact.

Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time.
