We'll set up several crews each with an A.T. Certified Sawyer to clear downed trees (aka blowdowns) from several sections of the Trail. "Swampers" are needed to move cut brush and tree parts off the Trail and manage any hikers that come along during the work. Clipping and lopping brush with hand tools, carrying heavier logs and cut limbs off the trail are some of the tasks that swampers do to help out. Crews will hike up to 4 miles from several trailheads. Please dress for the expected weather and layer for a day of hiking. Wear sturdy shoes, bring lunch/snack and plenty of water. Work gloves and bug repellant are highly recommended. Two-step registration necessary. Click the "Sign Up" button below and fill out the following form.
