How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

In-Flight Service (IFS) is seeking an experienced, analytical professional to join the Field Effectiveness Team as a Performance Analytics Specialist, reporting to the Lead Program Manager of Field Performance Strategy and Analytics. This role will support the IFS Field Operations organization by providing reporting and insights to help field leaders and flight attendants meet and exceed IFS goals in critical areas such as safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate technical proficiencies, adapt to new environments and challenges, and work both autonomously and collaboratively across the organization. The Analytics Specialist should be comfortable guiding leaders in using data to drive decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

•        Perform actionable analysis and develop preliminary recommendations for strategic initiatives, focusing on key performance indicators

•        Create measurement strategies and leverage field leader and flight attendant performance data to assist field leaders and other teams within IFS in developing individual and base-level performance plans

•        Provide direct support and guidance to field leaders on best practices for driving results in IFS KPIs, particularly in Reliability and NPS, based on multiple data sources

•        Find and implement opportunities for increased efficiency, leveraging emerging technologies, in disseminating information

•        Utilize existing performance data systems/reports and partner with IFS Operations Analysis and Performance and other key stakeholders to further develop reporting to track and analyze system-level and team performance

•        Design and distribute surveys, analyze results, and propose solutions for incremental, iterative improvements

•        Demonstrate self-starter initiative to work with and support Field Operations by influencing ongoing optimization and development of next generation decision support, analytic and process tools

•        Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in IFS and other departments to deliver on process improvements

•        Exercise critical thinking and strong analytical skills to achieve the annual Flight Plan goals

•        Some travel required

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

•        5 plus years of relevant experience

•        3+ years' work experience in a Data Analytics, Business, Program Management or other quantitative or process/engineering-related field

•        Highly proficient PC skills including advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

•        Basic SAS/SQL programming skills

•        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•        Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion and diplomacy. 

•        Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•        Able to craft communications for large audiences and should have executive deck building experience.

•        Be a quick learner capable of meeting aggressive timelines with accurate work products.

•        Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities at any given time.

•        Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. 

•        Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. 

•        Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. 

•        Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

•        Bachelor's degree or master's degree preferred in a business or quantitative discipline

•        Extensive SAS/SQL knowledge and experience with Tableau and R

•        General knowledge of In-Flight Service performance metrics, programs, work rules and/or DBMS
