•Serves as primary producer and director for ESPN3/+ events along with all other streaming platforms (NESN, NESN+, FloSports, CBSi) •Plans, directs, and oversees broadcasting of home athletics events. Conceives, plans, and directs the production of multimedia content at home athletics events •Manages video board technical operations and maintenance at all varsity facilities. •Consults all audio, visual, and internet upgrades to varsity facilities and assists with the planning, implementation, and on boarding of new audio, video, and internet infrastructure. •Digital and video liaison to Van Wagner for filming commercials and video elements for sponsorship fulfillment. •Serves as the department video technology and IT coordinator. •Manage the procurement and maintenance of production equipment. •Hires, supervises and schedules two full-time employees, student workers and temporary staff. •Produces live stream for events not related to athletic games: (banquets, award ceremonies, press conferences) •Manage and oversee production of online multimedia content for department website and social media, including season previews and recaps; event highlights; features and promotional content. •Recruit and train student workers to assist and run broadcasts for all 17 varsity sports •Assists with photography efforts including marketing photo shoots, head shot productions, and recruiting efforts for all 17 programs •Serves as one of athletics' brand ambassadors - assisting with maintaining and promoting UMaine brand standards through cooperative and creative design. •Assist with campus streaming efforts including, but not limited to, commencement, state of the university, groundbreaking ceremonies, Presidential and UMaine Systems virtual events •Performs other reasonably related duties as requested by the Senior Associate Athletic Director.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two or more years' experience in an athletic department broadcast setting or relevant atmosphere required.
  • Strong technical background in broadcast engineering required.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines required.
  • Successful supervisory experience required.
  • Multi-media experience required.
  • Working knowledge of budget analysis and preparation required.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to issues of diversity.
  • Ability to travel normally requiring a valid driver's license.
