The Tableau Creative team is responsible for bringing Brand and Product stories to life at Salesforce, through innovative experiences and campaigns across multiple channels. The Copywriter, Tableau Creative teammate will write interesting and informative copy for campaigns and events. The role will be expected to understand Tableau's product messaging and brand voice and be able to apply it to a variety of formats and channels. As part of the Tableau Creative team, this role will work closely with design, marketing, events, and project management teams. They will report to the Creative Lead of Tableau Creative.

The tasks, duties, and responsibilities commonly performed by the Senior Copywriter, are shown in the job description below:

Deliverables/Responsibilities:

Write compelling copy for marketing campaigns and events.
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders; running creative through approvals.
Creative writing including, but not limited to, digital ads, event activations, emails, web pages, video scripting, and more.
Write short form copy for paid and organic social posts, across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & LinkedIn.
Helping support operational day-to-day creative campaign management; experience in Asana and Figma a plus.
Be a steward of the brand voice and values.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Successful candidates for this role should have the following skills, knowledge, education, and experience:
Have a passion for understanding how technology changes society and vice versa
Ability to translate technical concepts and functional subject matters into creative writing that appeals to a broader audience; experience marketing to Information Technology is a plus
Ability to distill complex concepts into concise, engaging language
Ability to write clearly and delightfully, with an ability to capture a human tone in writing, not that of a corporation
Exceptional writing skills with an ability to get to the heart of the story
Ability to effectively communicate the core of why the story is meaningful; quick to grasp not just what a technology does, but why it matters
Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to grammar and style
Great interpersonal skills and an ability to build a quick rapport with partners and team members
Ability to quickly turn around high-quality, meaningful copy
Enthusiasm and flexibility for a fast-growing, and fast-changing environment
Enthusiasm for Tableau's products through understanding and use
5+ years of experience in copywriting, journalism, marketing, or related field
Bachelor's degree or equivalent

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $87,200 to $119,900.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
