Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities on property and the property itself. Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing gaming table layouts. Knowledge of the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators. Painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property. Preventative maintenance as scheduled. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees. Other duties as assigned. EQUIPMENT/TECHNICAL Operate all types of hand tools, power tools, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop. Chemicals used in maintenance. Ladders, bucket truck, forklift, and safety equipment. WORK AREA All facilities on property. Some confined areas. Exposed to hot and cold temperatures. Varied weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals used in maintenance. Casino environment that may be located on a boat and/or floating barge, high-rise hotel and atrium. Exposed to smoke, bright lights, and noise. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sitting 10% Standing 10% Lifting 10% (Overhead, arms length, up to 20 lbs.) Bending 10% (From waist) Walking 10% Stretching 10% Pushing 10% Pulling 10% Climbing 10% Reaching 10% EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent. Two years experience in maintenance preferred but not required. Valid drivers license. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions. Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions. Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of employees and guests at all times. Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements. Knowledge of personal protective equipment. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment. GUEST RELATIONS Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Complete knowledge of all facilities and entertainment available to guest. | |
