Supervisor, Theatrical Services (Audio/Video)

Primary Purpose:

The Audio Video Supervisor is a dynamic role responsible for overseeing all aspects of audio and visual equipment installations for events as well as managing the daily operations of the equipment shop. This includes scheduling, maintenance, inventory management, and team leadership. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and operational management to ensure high-quality event execution and efficient shop functioning.

Basic Requirements:

  • College degree in technical theater or project management or equivalent experience within Technical Production required.
  • Two (2) years professional Entertainment or Theme Park experience preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years professional technical experience and working knowledge within the areas of audio and video.
  • One year of experience in a leadership role related to live event productions preferred.
  • Qsys design and installation experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in technical production and be skillful in creating long term and daily production, installation and strike schedules to ensure the timely deployment of resources for successful event execution.
  • Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and Computer-aided Design.
  • Must be able to interpret and work from technical drawings.
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Proven supervisory skills, strong communication skills; positive attitude, team player; collaboration skills, problem solving skills
  • Must be capable of working at heights to over 100' (catwalks, boom lifts, man lifts, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to obtain a SEA Parks Drivers Permit for (cart, truck, vehicle) and operate forklifts & high reach equipment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnights and holidays


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advances technical elements for consumer events through all stages of production process, including inventory assessments, sourcing, procurement, install and strike planning as it pertains to theatrical audio/video as well as infrastructure support.
  • Animal venue support and maintenance of audio/video equipment.
  • Venue support for current audio/video equipment in house.
  • Develop install, implementation, and strike schedules for combined in-house and contracted services with due-date accountability.
  • Provides professional expertise in the audio and video area.
  • Assists with scope development, budget creation, bid process, vendor selection, procurement, and installation supervision.
  • Design review of audio/video as it pertains to assigned projects/events.
  • Supervises the quality assurance of Audio/Video team.
  • Works with Entertainment Services teams to schedule resources for the installation and strike of each Consumer Event to ensure successful execution.
  • Actively participate and lead teams within field projects while providing excellent internal and external guest service.
  • Oversee safety as it pertains to SEA Best Practices and Rigging Standards and all other relevant industry guidelines.
  • Assist with other Entertainment Projects as assigned.


Compensation: $22.00 per hour
