Job Objective:
Monitors, maintains, and controls all steps of the inlet gas flows through the inlet compression, dehydration, recovery, and residue systems ending at the sale meters, and the recovered liquefied petroleum gases through the fractionation train to storage and on to sales.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Inspect equipment for safety problems, leaks, or wear and tear, and make or recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Reviews and monitors prior shift, to check for accuracy, daily computer log and scan process board.
  • Records gas volumes and process analyzer readings, and makes necessary changes. Gauges and records daily tank inventory.
  • Monitors and maintains process readings on daily log sheets (inside and outside readings of entire plant).
  • Acknowledges, responds to, and initiates corrections/action to process alarms. Monitors and maintains all control loops in the plant.
  • Monitors and maintains truck rack and assist loaders. Drains unwanted fluids (D-23, T-503, inst. Air, propane reclaimer).
  • Monitors and maintains security of plant entrances by checking the identification and recording names of visitors.
  • Conducts and/or coordinates ongoing maintenance and general housekeeping of the plant.
  • Procures necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks. Reads automatic gauges, as specified intervals, to determine flow rate of gas.
  • Retrieves and performs required tests for quality and integrity on product samples.
  • Monitors and maintains logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years minimum gas processing plant experience, and certified as a gas plant operator.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule which includes fourteen (14) days on and fourteen (14) days off, alternating day shift and night shift.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the plant process.
  • Ability to work alone and highly motivated.


Education Requirements:
  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
