Summary These positions are located in Acadia National Park in the Facilities Division, you will interact with park managers, supervisors, and staff members on administrative matters including, financial tracking, coordinating and scheduling meetings and events, and providing guidance on issues like pay, leave, travel, and procurement. This job is open to Clarification from the agency Videos Duties - Monitors division expenses during the year and works with Budget Analyst to reconcile division accounts - Purchases supplies, equipment, and services for the division utilizing a credit/purchase card and reconciles the monthly statement - Serves as technical advisor to unit personnel on travel and prepares travel authorizations and vouchers using automated systems and software - Serves as the primary timekeeper for the division and reviews time and attendance submission and assures it is correctly entered into the automated timekeeping system - Maintains office files (electronic or manual), including project files, administrative material, reports, and forms - Types and composes correspondence, memoranda, reports, work schedules, meeting minutes etc., from drafts or notes using word processing software Requirements Conditions of Employment
Qualifications All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-05/01/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: preparing standardized financial reports (e.g status of funds) for an office; tracking office expenses to ensure they do not exceed allocations; and providing administrative support services (e.g. keeping time and attendance, preparing travel authorizations, procuring supplies) for an office. You must include hours per week worked. - AND - The ability to type 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors in a five minutes sample. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately Feb-Nov, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval. Physical Demands: The work is mainly sedentary. Working Conditions: The work is generally performed in an office setting. CTAP/ICTAP - Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection.
