Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced daycare leader to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. With the department manager, the daycare supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of caregivers, ensuring compliance with all regulations and licensing requirements, and providing a safe, nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for early childhood education.

 Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise daycare staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and local regulations governing child care facilities, including licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and staffing ratios.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing any questions, concerns, or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum coordinator to develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and social development.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, reporting, and maintaining accurate enrollment records.
  • Stay informed about developments in the field of early childhood education, including best practices, research findings, and new regulations.

 Requirements:

  • Knowledge of state and local regulations governing childcare facilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
  • Must pass a background check.
