JOB DESCRIPTION CBC's Entertainment, Factual and Sports unit is looking for a skilled and dynamic YouTube Producer to help grow CBC's YouTube presence. The role will primarily work on the main CBC YouTube channel and also assist other entertainment YouTube channels. The Producer will conceptualize, edit and produce long, mid- and short-form YouTube videos to be published on the main CBC channel and other relevant CBC YouTube channels. The position is also responsible for re-versioning relevant videos from other platforms (g. TikTok and Instagram vertical video) for YouTube Shorts. The role primarily focuses on the production and editing of YouTube video but the ability to shoot and package high-quality YouTube video is a strong asset. The Producer will also work on other areas of maintaining the CBC YouTube channel, with the key roles and responsibilities listed below. The successful candidate will have a high fluency in the YouTube mediascape, including a deep understanding of audience, format, packaging and distribution trends on the platform. They must also have strong storytelling skills that translate into the YouTube space. The role will require the successful candidate to work during some weekends or evenings.
