Required Education: 4 Year Degree PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will work collaboratively with the head coach in all aspects of organization, recruitment, and administration of a competitive NCAA Division I program that competes in the Big Sky Conference. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To implement coaching and individual player development plans specific to the goalkeeper position. Design and implement position-specific training sessions and successfully provide instruction to improve technical execution and tactical decision-making. Organize and implement a recruiting strategy to recruit and retain quality student-athletes who will succeed academically at Idaho State University. Assist with managing daily operations of team travel and logistics, provide input on scheduling, and organize all campus visits. Assist with the video analysis on opponents and development of a scouting report to present to the team. Help implement a strategy to organize aspects of the camp programs. Act as a liaison with compliance office and ensure compliance with all Big Sky and NCAA rules and regulations. Oversee and support student-athlete academic success of all team members. Responsible for all aspects of equipment, including but not limited to purchasing & inventory tracking. Develop and maintain authentic and effective relationships with student-athletes, alumni. Assist with community outreach and fundraising opportunities. Consistently exemplify our team values. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization. Previous coaching experience & the ability to recruit high-level student athletes. Proficient with Microsoft Office, digital video editing/analysis and athletics recruiting software. Strong organizational and communication skills. Minimum of USSF C license, or equivalent. Ability to collaborate and provide feedback to obtain positive outcomes. Demonstrated understanding of NCAA and Big Sky Conference rules and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience coaching the Goalkeeper position. Coaching experience at the collegiate level. Personally self-motivated, positive, energetic, desire to teach and willingness to travel. |
