Position Summary:

The Sr Manufacturing Planning Coordinator is accountable for supporting various activities within Operations that primarily include the ordering, preparing, and placement of material for BAM production department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with ordering and delivery of all consumables to BAM areas.
  • Assist with acquiring materials and consumables at/from the wipe-down station for entrance into the suite.
  • Assist with inventory counts within the production suites and coordinate results with BAM management, Planning and Procurement.
  • Assist with staging and prepping material for media formulations.
  • Performs or assists with investigations when discrepancies of inventory are discovered.
  • Participate in shift exchanges, 1-1's, meetings, attend meetings key to facilitate area needs based on changes, etc. (example: Bam shift huddle, RMMH).
  • Work with BAM scheduler and coordinator to ensure raw materials are available in time to meet formulation dates.
  • Assist coordinators with overall inventory accuracy of the raw material storage areas.
  • Handles expiry of chemicals and single use materials, including removing, scrapping, quarantining, and raising concern.
  • Provide recommendations and assist with implementing process improvements related to ordering, storage, and staging of materials.
  • Coordinate communications to quality control on critical issues for material releases.
  • Work jointly with BAM Planners, supervisors, and technicians to ensure all raw material issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of GMP experience or other highly regulated industry experience required. Some exposure to manufacturing or planning/scheduling environment preferred. Prior experience in an on-the-job training role.

  • Proficiencies: Proficient in Word, Excel; Ability to use software and customized programs to meet business needs; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Good organization, planning, team mentality and time management skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
